Yes, I’ve stopped counting days, and I haven’t posted in a while. It’s just not feasible or worthwhile being angry all the time while trying to live a daily life balancing work, family, and politics.

That’s not to say that I’ve given up. Nooooo way.

That’s not to say that I’m not disgusted. I am.

No matter where he goes, our poor excuse for a President only succeeds in behaving like Biff Tannen, the boorish bully from “Back to the Future.”

This week, Mr. and Mrs. Trump took an International trip. It seems he really didn’t want to go, but in the end, he did. Here’s what made the news:

– He started the tour in Saudi Arabia. Note that during the campaign, Trump said that Saudi Arabia “wants women as slaves and to kill gays,” and has suggested that they were behind the 9/11 attacks. In 2015, he criticized Michelle Obama for not wearing a head scarf in Saudi Arabia. Yet, Melania chose not to wear a head scarf. That’s small potatoes, though. While in Saudi Arabia, Trump made a $110 billion (that’s BILLION) dollar arms deal with the Saudi’s, and “in separate news” Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates promised Ivanka Trump $100 million dollars for her Women Entrepreneurs Fund, specifically to help women in the Middle East. Let’s follow that one, shall we? Ivanka’s proposed foundation is strangely similar to the Clinton Foundation, which Trump roundly criticized. And the timing… well… let’s just say it’s interesting.

– He managed to get through a speech to Muslim leaders in Riyadh by reading it and staying on point. Yay – he didn’t sound like your drunk uncle.

– He visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem. Many news articles reported him as being the first President to ever visit the Western Wall. That’s not quite accurate – he’s the first sitting President to visit the Western Wall.  Trump’s daughter and son-in-law are orthodox Jews, and so the visit was probably especially meaningful to Ivanka.  Caveat – Trump turned down a request to be joined by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in order to avoid making any kind of political statement.

– He visited the Pope. This is perhaps the most amusing part of the trip, from a social media standpoint. Trump and Pope Francis do not exactly have a friendly history.

And yet, here’s Melania in Saudi Arabia…
