Day 28: February 16, 2017

It’s Russia week!

The scandals never cease. This week marked the resignation of General Michael Flynn, President Trump’s National Security Adviser.

Why? Because information has been leaked about Flynn’s phone calls with the Russian ambassador to the United States before Trump was elected, and at the time that President Obama was talking about sanctions against Russia because of their hacking and interference with the election.

Flynn lied about the conversations, and the truth came out. The truth always comes out.

Turns out the FBI warned the White House weeks ago that Flynn was a blackmail risk, since the Russians could expose his lie at any time.

The concern is that Flynn is not an outlier.  He was forced to resign to assuage the public. But the general concern is that he’s just the tip of the iceberg, and that many others in the Trump administration have engaged in similar activities.

What am I doing about it?

I’m watching the news. I’m Tweeting. I’m asking questions – the same questions that were asked during the Watergate scandal (Nixon).

What did they know?

When did they know it?
